About Me

My name is Greg Ellis. I’m a performance physical therapist based out of Maryland, USA.

Personally, sports and exercise have always been a chief interest of mine which contributed to my desire to work with athletes and active individuals. My exercise program of choice varies throughout the year but generally includes some amount of running and weight lifting. I grew up playing a different sport every season before settling on soccer in high school. I still play twice a week when able but often can be found on the golf course whenever possible.

Originally from Alabama, I moved to Maryland in 2015 to pursue my Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Prior to graduate school, I attended the University of Alabama (obligatory Roll Tide!) where I studied Biology.

Following graduating physical therapy school, I stayed in Maryland to begin my career.

I work for a company called Rehab 2 Perform and am based out of our Mt. Airy, MD clinic. As mentioned above, I see a variety of orthopedic and sports populations and those individuals who are active, or looking to become more active. In terms of special interests, I enjoy treating runners and adolescent athletes. I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and enjoy implementing these principles in treating those populations.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about who I am. I hope you enjoy the content here and find it helpful.

-Greg

I thought about his words for a bit and agreed that this framework can be applied to most things, including the rehab world."
